6 Tips to Make Your Wardrobe Bigger
Don’t know what to wear? How to make your wardrobe ten times more hip without going shopping.
The Pencil Skirt
Raise your hand if you only wear your pencil skirt to the office? Keep it raised if nine times out of ten your skirt is paired with a crisp, tucked-in button down—yes, it’s a classic combo, but let’s switch it up with some pairings that are already in your closet. It’s true, I’ve been sucked into the boring habit of wearing drab office-appropriate styles too—snap out of it!

Creative pairings with a pencil skirt make it less uptight

Pencil skirts don’t have to look conservative!
Try layering a loose piece on top but knotting it at the waist to create a look that reads boho. Maybe even use that crisp button-up mentioned above. Don’t go too loose, or it might read hobo—we’re not looking to emulate Mary Kate and Ashley circa 2006. Add a brightly colored clutch or statement heels—it’s perfection! Secondly, pair your workhorse staple with another workhorse staple—the white crewneck. With the right accessories this look is work-appropriate. Think chunky jewelry, a polished hairstyle and simple makeup with a bold lip. See, it’s easy!

Sorry but I think most of the outfits here are only for certain body types. I’d look huge in a peplum and pencil skirt. ?

My mom needs to have this discipline about her wardrobe. She’s quite the fashionista compared to my very minimalist wardrobe. Problem is that she has so much clutter now and I can’t make her dispose most of it. Her closet is too filled already with clothes she can’t even wear anymore. She has a habit of hoarding clothes even if doesn’t fit anymore or that if it’s too worn out. She just gets really sentimental about stuff even if it’s not even expensive, or even if it’s the cheapest.

I don’t want to go through the hassle of going to a taylor just to have my outfits re-done!

Have you guys heard of the eternity outfit? Not sure if it’s called the same in other places but it’s a cloth that can be transformed into endless outfits.

I always see a lot of people layer down clothes or fold them in such a way that it would seem like it’s a new dress or top, but for some reason, it doesn’t work for me. It looks very lousy and it would fall apart within the day. I sometimes have a hard time folding it or tucking it back to how it was whenever I would take a bathroom break. It’s such a hassle! I think it only works for certain types of clothing because others can really be a pain to recreate. My co-worker does the same and I can’t even do the same.

That’s why the article made it clear that the pairings should have enough volume to ensure that you can hide the fabric that you’re about to tuck.

Concert tees are so cute to play with. You can even add patches to add more style to it.

Err, croptops aren’t an option. I have stretchmarks.?

I must admit that going to work is already tiring as it is and having to spend hours trying to choose what officewear to use isn’t something that I want to do anymore. I have about 10 pairs of clothing that I just juggle around for the entire week and I started caring very little about being fashionable or fashionably updated. It’s not like I come to the office for a runway show. I could care less about how I use my clothes repeatedly as long as I look clean and professional. Men could wear the same thing for an entire week and people won’t even notice. They’d just assume that he has the same damn pair and bought 10 of it.

I have big hips so peplum tops aren’t an option. I’d look bigger.

Fashion is overrated sometimes. It just gets too boring to keep up with trends because in time, it will be the same again. Fashion is never original or new.
